What next for Egypt?

It has been a year since the people’s revolution in Egypt started, but the end is nowhere in sight. Protesters have converged again in Tahrir Square calling for the next phase. But what is next for Egypt? Al Jazeera asks some prominent people to share their views: Wael Eskandar, Nader Omran and Sharif Kouddous.

Florida Voters Hoping For Solutions from Republicans!

Wall Street Journals’s Arian Campo-Flores reports on housing crisis and how it has hit Florida especially hard. He reports Florida’s residents are looking to presidential candidates for specific remedies. Florida, California, and Nevada (=Las Vegas) have been the worst impacted housing markets in the USA. In other words, the bubble and greed was the maximum in these states. So the voters in these states are clearly going to use their vote to get their woes addressed. In my view, Florida’s voters should not expect any of the Republican candidates to solve their problems housing and employment problems.

Digital Rights Management for EBooks

Question from Ben from Texas: What is Digital Rights Management and how does it work for eBooks? I am going to publish an E-Book next month and its going to be a pdf file, and I don’t know whether anything can be done to prevent unauthorized distribution of pdf files on the Internet. Please let me know your suggestions. Thanks.

Answer:  Digital Rights Management (DRM) is a technology used to place limitations like, access to or copying of, onto digital content (eBooks, music, etc.). You as the publisher or author of the ebook can determines the level of restrictions applied to an eBook. This includes how many times an eBook can be downloaded for a single purchase, and the number of devices (computers, eBook readers, etc.) to which the eBook can be transferred. Continue reading
